We starting making plant-based chocolate because we believe everyone should be able to enjoy a delicious treat. We use natural ingredients and keep out nasties such as palm oil. And ensure that those with dietary needs or lifestyle choices can indulge in our choccy.
Due to the plant-based ingredients we use, on average our snack bars have a 15% lower carbon footprint than conventional chocolate bars. Meaning not only are they better for you, but also better for the planet.
That majority of that smaller footprint is due to the raw ingredients we use. When it comes to processing, packaging and transport emissions, we haven't yet figured out how to beat the traditional system. But we're working on it!
